Jasmine in Bloom
This is a yellow jasmine vine in my backyard. It blooms in early Spring and late Fall. Because it is a vine, it tends to try to take over an area of my flower bed. I have to prune it back yearly.
Daffodils are in Bloom
The daffodils are in bloom, and that means it is Spring to me. I love these flowers, because they were about the only Spring flowers my mother grew when I was growing up.
Crocus in the Lawn
Ray and Ben planted crocus in the lawn a couple of years ago. They are now blooming in our front lawn. When Ray first saw the first blooms this season, he leapt for joy. He just loves having crocus in the lawn because it reminds him of his time in England.
Mini Iris in my Garden
I have a few miniature Iris that still bloom in the very front bed of my garden. The flowers are nearly the whole size of the plant, so they do look a little silly.
Katie and Oscar in the Garden Together
Oscar and Katie like to hang out with me when I work in the garden. This is them on Sunday as I was out taking pictures of our first Spring flowers. Here, they are showing affection for each other. These two kitties really like to hang out with me and to play with each other. [...]

A needed rest
This is the start of Spring break from school for me. I need this time to get caught up on writing and to get a little extra rest. I am so glad.
What does a migraine look like?
What does a migraine look like? I wondered this as I was suffering one today. I took this picture of myself after i got to my car and after sitting in classes today.
Ray’s new saddlebags
Ray got new saddlebags for his motorcycle. I wanted to give him a nice, useful gift for Valentine’s Day. He got a pair of small bags to put on his bike. They are just the right size for his mid-sized bike, and they are able to sit underneath the back of his bike’s seat. These [...]
Mom and Dad have a 45th anniversary
Mom and Dad Dahl (my kids’ paternal gradparents) have celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary this week. Very cool. They are absolutely wonderful parents and grandparents to us all. I am so glad they are wonderful mentors and friends to me.
