Kayleigh’s bass cracked, again. It has been really dry, especially during December, so we suspect it cracked last month. She discovered it today when she was polishing her bass after rehearsing with a neighbor.
Kayleigh is auditioning with a couple of universities over the next couple of weeks. I just don’t know when we can take the bass in for repairs. Repairs usually take several weeks, not to mention the cost.
Her bass is cracked along the lower seam and the top is separating from the bass. I can only imagine the stress that our dry air has put on her instrument. I just wish Kayleigh had been using her humidifier around her bass. That might have prevented this problem.
