Put Jesus Christ back into Christmas

This season can be a very stressful time. It is a time when we expect a great deal, and this often involves showing our love with extraordinary gifts. But these economic times may be too much for you this year so that you can meet your normal expectations. I think that is OK.

Because I am out of work, this holiday season is not going to be filled with presents and great gifts. We will, however, remember the birth of our Savior the Lord Jesus Christ. As an LDS family, we try to remember and celebrate the birth of our Savior and the great blessings that He has brought to us as a family. We believe that Jesus Christ made sacrifices for us so that we can one day return to our heavenly Father and live as an eternal family.

The LDS Church just released a new Mormon Messages video. This video shows us what is really important about this season: remembering Jesus Christ and bonding together as a family even in difficult times.

I really want to wish you all a Merry Christmas, even if you do not believe as I believe. Remember this time as one where we are kind to our fellow man, we do what we can to help others, and we show appreciation and love to any family and friends around us.
