Kayleigh likes to write

Kayleigh enjoys writing.  She has really improved in her writing, and she is taking an A.P. English class this year. Her teacher is very good and very sweet. She allows me to go through her papers and edit them. I am not a timid editor, either.  Graduate school has really improved my writing, and I [...]

Our own Thanksgiving dinner

Ray is a wonderful cook, and that is no exception when he dutch oven cooks a turkey. He cooks the turkey outside in a big oven on legs.  He uses charcoal briquettes to heat the oven to about 350°-400° F.  He has to start the briquettes in a little contraption that heats the coals together.

I like to think of Liz as expressing her individuality [...]

Last bit of my old job

I just shredded my insurance card from my old job.  That was the last bit of that job that was so difficult in so many ways. My students were wonderful, but the job when I am a doctoral student was impossible. You can’t believe the relief I feel to be out of there and on [...]

Snow falling

There was quite a blizzard outside my home this evening.  I saw the snow coming down quite hard, and I wanted to catch the snow falling next to the street light.  However, it was quite dark so I was only able to get snow falling right near me.  Also, the snow was falling so fast [...]

Curly Lizzie

Kayleigh curled Liz’s hair today. I have rarely seen Lizzie with curly hair.  She looks so much like her sister when her hair is curly.
