Back in 1988, I had been dating a bunch of losers and/or jerks. I also have a Dad who could care less about me. I thought that I would be stuck with the type of man I was dating when I got married, if ever…
I was also rather lost. A chic without a cause, except saving S\southern Utah’s wilderness. I was rather unhappy yet doing my best to find a purpose and good friends who cared for me.
December 31, 1988…I met Ray on a blind date. I immediately recognized him as someone who was above and beyond the type of regular guy I had been dating. He almost immediately became my best friend and someone I could laugh with. He gave me hope that I could have a bright future and love in my life.
Six months later, we were married in the LDS Salt Lake Temple. It is this very day that my life changed. I know…I know…everyone says that. But I literally found hope and love by that very act of a wonderful man promising to stay with me for time and all eternity, and promising that before God. Cool.
It has been a wild and exciting time together. We have 3 beautiful teenagers, and I am happier than I ever thought I would be. My husband is a really good man and the love of my life.
