I joined Facebook a couple of months ago so I can keep up with what that kids are saying and doing. Just because I am their Mom and live with them does not mean I know what they are doing or thinking.

Now it appears that Ray’s family members are on Facebook, too. I have been signing up to be friends with them tonight.
Kind of silly, huh?
But I think it is a bit of a safer way to share things together. That is why I had to join and ask to be my own kids’ friends.
I think it is a good idea for us to stay in touch this way. Ray even signed up tonight and I got him to link his Twitter account to his Facebook account. That way, whenever he Tweets, it will show up in Facebook. That is how I have my account set up.
I honestly think that sites like Twitter and Facebook and our blogs are a really good way to stay in touch. I like to blog so I can share my feelings and experiences. I write Tweets when I have a little thing or a little thought to share. It is all very cool.
But the whole security on your blog is a bit suspect when you are all writing. I am vety careful becaue I do not want to get dooced and loose my jot and future opportunities.
This is a prefise that maybe we can become a close knit family now despite past pain the inconvenience of not seeing each other in a timely manner, even though we may really want to be there to see family accomplishments and disappointments
