Teaching my lovely Word level 2 students

What they think of Word 2007

They like and love Word. The interface is quite intuitive. There is more functionality.

They love how you can customize everything, such as, save templates, building blocks (like headers and footers), and styles.

My students

These students are so enjoyable, and they are working so fast. They are also amused that I can blog from Word 2007. Now I will just have to take a look at the html and see if it needs cleaning-up. More on that later.

Update

The HTML code is quite clean. I did not have to do any cleaning like I would if Word had saved the file is an HTML document. I’m actually quite impressed over this.

However, I have to think about this. Where my students today loved the interface I have talked to many others, who are expert users of Word, who have difficulty navigating Word 2007′s interface. So I have come to the conclusion, once again, that Word 2007 is wonderful for low-knowledge and no-knowledge users of Word. In contrast, Word 2007 creates much difficulty with expert users as a result of no menus and buttons in different places.
