Yay! A Cute Beetle!
On Tuesday we went to Strong’s Volkswagen in Salt Lake and test drove some VWs. I have wanted a new Beetle for over a year, since we had to trade in my 2001 diesel Beetle for the Jetta wagon that would fit Kayleigh’s 3/4 size bass.
Well, Ray wanted to get a Rabbit because it has 5 seat belts, so I drove a Rabbit. However, they didn’t have any manual transmission Rabbits. So Ray let me test drive a used Beetle. I was really worried about getting that car because it already had 52,000 miles on it. It would need a serious amount of work, including a new timing belt in 8,000 miles.
Then we test drove a new, 2007 Beetle. I wanted a yellow Beetle, but they didn’t have one in our price range. This did, however, have new Beetles in our price range that were silver and beige. I chose the beige because it is closer to yellow. So, we test drove a “beige” beetle. It is a wonderful car, and we bought it. Yay!

Under the “Harvest Moon”
So the car is not actually beige, but “Harvest Moon.” It kind of glimmers gold when you look at it right. It is gorgeous.
