A Certified Apple Trainer!

What a Relief!

So I went to my last class today here in Santa Monica. It was the day of the certification exam.

Our instructor did a good job preparing us for the test. Thank heavens for that because he did not cover much of what was on the test until today. A lot of what we learned and were tested on was completely new to me, so I am very happy I passed with a 90%. The minimum passing grade is a whopping 85% on a very difficult test. Boy, they want to be sure you know your stuff if you are teaching Apple’s Final Cut Pro classes.

I was a nervous wreck while taking the test. The questions after #20 were increasingly difficult. I knew I was not going to get some of the questions correct because I just couldn’t remember what I studies and heard in class. But those questions came from the training videos our instructor made for Apple. I watch them 4 times, but I just couldn’t remember everything from them. Blah!

I went through the questions again, and I finally took a big breath and finished the test. What a relief when I saw I had enough of a score to become an Apple Final Cut Pro Certified Trainer! What a tremendous relief!

I was necessary I passed the first time because I needed to pass for my job. I am scheduled to teach my first Final Cut Pro class next month. Not much time to prepare between certification and teaching. Whew!

A Walkabout after the Training is Over

I spent some time walking around the Yahoo campus and the Santa Monica Water Garden. I took some pictures of the buildings on the Yahoo campus and flowers and water gardens.

Going Home, Yay!

I have become home sick because I really miss my family and my home. I am really a home body. Yes, I have been able to see Santa Monica but it has been little fun without them.

I honestly think I would have done better in class and on my exam if Ray were with me. I have a lot of confidence and abilities, but he is such a boost and help in my life that I am sure I would have done better with him. I could have talked out my anxiety with him and calmed down enough to study more and to do better with my presentations. Having him within the same valley does wonders for me. That support system is always there for me. Love ya Ray! :-*
